InfoWorks ICM - Acad Background Layer

Moved from InfoWorks CS 14.5 to ICM 6.5. Used to work with an acad (.dwg) file as background layer. Is this possible in ICM?

Hello,
You need to use the Geoplan in the 32 bit version of ICM 6.5 but once you open up the Geoplan you can add a .dwg file.

It is not available in the GIS Layer control window, where I would expect it. Neither can I find it in any other menu.

Hello, It is available with Arc Engine and ArcObjects map controls, you can have CAD Layers - points, areas, polygons, and polyline classes. If you are using MapXtreme then CAD layers are not an option. Regards, Robert Dickinson

Correct, both ArcEngine and ArcObjects require access to an ESRI license.
