Water spilling to a 1d river reach
Dear all,
I am trying to store some surface water (flowing in the 2d domain) before a 1d river reach. For this purpose, I have created an inline bank before the first river cross section (essentially to work as a weir). This inline bank is connecting an upstream dummy break node to a break node in the first cross section of the river reach. My idea here was to direct the water spilling from the inline bank directly to the 1d river reach. Unfortunately, this does not seem to work. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Your upstream node, the one that sits in the 2D mesh, should be an Outfall node. You also need to build the Inline Bank 2D Connection. See the following blog for more details: http://blog.innovyze.com/2014/07/11/...infoworks-icm/
