Base flow depths in dry pipes
Hello,
I am trying to compare modeled flows in a CSO pipe to metered data. When there are no flows in the pipe, I would expect flow depths to be 0. I understand that flow is added in the model for stability and that there is no net flow generation. However, when the true flow is greater than 0, is the true conduit depth then calculated using the true flow? Does the base flow play a role in the depth calculations?
If I'm just looking for a time series of the actual depth in the conduit, can I just subtract the base flow constant from the results?
Thanks,
Amanda
