Supply/Demand discrepancy
I am working on a model where I am using a perched reservoir to simulate a pump station outputting at a constant pressure. The total demand from the junctions in the model is around 6,000 gpm at a steady-state, yet the reservoir is outputting ~9,000 gpm into the system. Is there a reason it is trying to force 3,000 more gpm of water that isn't being demanded? I believe this extra water is leading to higher dynamic losses throughout the system and decreasing pressures.
Thank you,
Scott

A tank or another reservoir could accept the extra flow.
