Quickly Assessing Impacts Surface Water Seperation

Hi all,

In an attempt to quickly get an idea of the impacts of surface water separation on a number of sub-catchments, I highlighted these sub-catchments, viewed them in grid format and reduced their value in the 'Contributing Area' column by 90% (keeping 10% to account for infiltration etc.)

This didn't have the desired impact however. If I wanted to do this, would I need to reduce the values in 'Run-off area' columns?

Is there a recommended way to carry out a surface water separation assessment?

Yes, it's the runoff areas you need to reduce. I don't know of a better way to do a "quick" impact assessment. But beware of using it as anything more than identifying potential, doing it in real life is another matter altogether and my experience is that separation schemes are often only partially successful.
