View Full Version : Modelling Low Flow Sewers: How does InfoWorks ICM SE perform?

I am looking to explore the effects of reduced flow in the sewerage system (combined and separated). One partner has suggested that the computation in InfoWorks ICM SE can struggle at low flow or small scales – Does anyone have experience modelling on a smaller (household scale) or modelling low flow applications that could advise we on InfoWorks’ capabilities/accuracy in these matters?

Thank you in advance!

Here in southern Australia we typically model our separate sewer system at an individual household level in InfoWorks ICM, and have done so for many years.
We have gravity systems where each subcatchment represents a property and is connected directly to the nodes (i.e. the customer's pipework is not modelled), and models of 15,000 pressure sewer units - where each property (again a subcatchment) is connected to a node (wet well) which uses a pump link to connect to the network.

Thank you Ann, this is very good to hear, then I think it will fit my purpose.
